VLM SMALL GROUP LEADER
Job Description
All VLM Small Group Leader applicants must complete the application below.
Completed application includes:
- All authorizations and agreements must be signed.
- The reference form must be completed and returned to Victory, attention VLM.
Once the application has been processed and approved, an interview will be scheduled to determine volunteer service.
The approved applicant is required to attend an orientation and small group leader training.
All VLM Small Group Leaders will be required to attend a monthly leadership meeting. This meeting will provide you with current information and training for your specific area of ministry.
VLM Small Group Leaders serve for a minimum of one year.
Responsibilities
- Pray for and coordinate weekly Small Group Meetings. To include one or more of the following: Prayer, Bible Study, Testimonies.
- Pray for everyone in your Small Group.
- Be a "Life Coach" to your Small Group members, developing them into future leaders.
- Provide a supportive atmosphere in which Small Group Members are able to discover and develop their spiritual gifts.
- Identify and mentor assistant leaders in order to enable them in their ministries.
- Maintain unity by representing the philosophy of ministry and theology of Victory.
Keep the Director of VLM up to date on status of group.
- Unless specified, welcome new people into the group anytime during the course.
- Encourage members to invite people who are outside the church.
- Complete your topic by the end of the specified time.
VLCM CHRISTIAN CARE GIVER
Job Description
All VLCM Christian Care Giver applicants must complete the application below.
Completed application includes:
- All authorizations and agreements must be signed.
- The reference form must be completed and returned to Victory, attention Victory Life Ministries.
Once the application has been processed and approved, an interview will be scheduled to determine volunteer service.
The applicant is required to attend and successfully complete the VLI Christian Care Giving Program. This 13-week program is designed to prepare you for lay ministries of counseling within the context of the local church or individual ministry with persons you come in contact with from day to day. Ministry opportunities will be available for the Christian Care Giver Graduate through Victory Life Counseling Ministries.
All Christian Care Givers will be required to attend a monthly leadership meeting. This meeting will provide you with supervision and continued education for this specific area of ministry.
Care givers will be connected with individuals that could benefit from the on-going support of a caring relationship. Care givers will meet weekly to encourage and support the person in need.
VLCM Christian Care Givers served for a minimum of one year.
